During colon inflammation, Th17 cells and immunosuppressive regulatory T cells (Treg) are
thought to play promotive and preventative roles, respectively. Dietary (n-3) PUFA favorably
modulate intestinal inflammation in part by downregulating T-cell activation and functionality.
