On the relationship between senescence and age-related changes in two wild-type strains of Drosophila melanogaster

Two wild-type strains of Drosophila melanogaster, Oregon-R and Canton-S, that have
different lifespans are compared in respect of the age of onset of changes in the following:(1)
the ability to renew catalase activity after its loss owing to treatment with the drug 3-amino-1,
2, 4,-triazole;(2) the levels of alcohol dehydrogenase and glucose-6-phosphate
dehydrogenase activity;(3) the appearance of Sondhi's (1967) abdominal age spots; and (4)
