Extracellular calcium has long been known to affect the rate and magnitude of renal calcium
and phosphate recovery. In this review, we consider some of these findings in light of our
present understanding of the tubular localization of the calcium-sensing receptor (CaSR).
Experiments directly implicating the CaSR in regulating calcium and phosphate transport
