Thrombophilia and fetal growth restriction

Since the early nineties evidence is accumulating, indicating that thrombophilia has a
negative impact on pregnancy [1, 2]. Women with a thrombophilic disorder experience more
often spontaneous abortion or vascular complications such as fetal growth restriction
(IUGR), placental abruption, pregnancy-induced hypertension and preeclampsia [3, 10].
Also the incidence of intra-uterine fetal death has been reported increased, presumably in
