Proteinuria has been invoked as a cause of tubulointerstitial injury in chronic renal disease,
and in vivo studies have suggested indirectly the particular nephrotoxicity of one urinary
protein holotransferrin (Tf-Fe). However, to date there has been no direct evidence for the
